Peer Support Sessions
Peer Support sessions are an opportunity for a 1:1 supportive call (phone or zoom). These are gentle, nonjudgemental times for reflection, brainstorming, and processing. These calls are not therapy or a medical intervention. They are guided by restorative practices and an educational/artistic lens-- pedagogical healing work as opposed to medical healing work. You're welcome to discuss mental health, healing, parenting, spirituality, queerness, gender, sexuality, art making, nonmonogamy, or whatever feels best to you!
1:1 Sessions:
30-minute call: You have a shorter question or smaller topic to work through or you like to work quickly.
60-minute call: You have a broader topic or question or you like to work spaciously.
Youth Support:
Youth Support Sessions are available online for youths aged 12-18 that are willingly/enthusiastically consenting to supports. In person support available for children birth-18 in the NYC area. I am deeply committed to consistent, holistic support for children; youth support requires parent consultation before I meet with the child/adolescent. For more information about youth/child supports, visit the youth & family services page.
Mediation & Relationship Support:
Loving, nonjudgmental mediation is available for loved ones, family members, friends, collaborators, and community members. These calls are based in restorative practices, which can include reconciliation and/or compassionate cutting of ties. This is not couples therapy (which is based in ongoing, open ended dialogue). It is a process of intervention and finding resolution around specific conflict. I highly recommend a consultation call before beginning mediation. For more information about relationship supports, visit the mediation & relationship support page.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for holding that space, for being so gentle and compassionate, and for helping me find a glimpse of somatic calmness. I’m moved by the raw and comforting humanness you allowed me to encounter, and thereby once again reminded to punish myself less for parts of my humanness that expressed itself in (possibly quite necessary) ways, I currently can’t appreciate as much. I’ll surely check out the additional resources, thank you very much for pointing them out. I’m eagerly looking forward to return for more peer support sessions in the future, it really made a difference for me.”
